TICK TOCK.
Having a watch that is both reliable and aesthetically pleasing is key to purposefully arriving to any and all events fashionably late. Thankfully, the great staff at Jord Watches already know all about achieving the perfect balance between fashion and function and were kind enough to send me the fabulous women’s watch featured below, which has already become one of my go to pieces. They are all about "wearing time well", and now, so am I.
While it’s badass and made of natural wood, it is light as a feather! It’s also surprisingly comfortable and easy to adjust. Not to mention wood is super trendy right now, or so I’m told by my friends that actually know about fashion. The dark wood finish is probably my favorite (or the purpleheart and plum, DECISIONS) because it matches nearly everything I wear. During the week I pair it on with my work clothes and it plays along with my business casual feel. On the weekends I throw it on when wearing my favorite slip on sneakers, jeans, and flowy top and it gives off a perfectly effortless vibe. Ultimately, I really appreciate the versatility and transition of this piece. It makes accessorizing any outfit so much easier for a completely clueless non-fashionista such as myself. This mixed with the fact that glamping seems too hardcore for me means a beautiful wooden watch is my idea of being outdoorsy. (Reminder: I bought shoes with pom poms… for work. Because pom poms).
Lastly, who doesn’t need a quality watch? If you’re a fellow yuppie working desperately to achieve a level of success that allows you to retire in the next ten minutes, being prompt is not only recommended, it’s required. And let's never forget that like all things, being on time should always be done in style.
