Hi.

Welcome to @ First Blush. Home of all things shiny and ridiculous.

Toasted.

Toasted.

First, let me be clear that I am not currently toasted while writing this blog, you're welcome. Just in love with the coffee and toast shop that is a relatively new hotspot in my lovely little neighborhood.  PSA: I do not drink coffee, sooo yeah.

Let me start by saying that being a fan of the Lower Greenville area is a rollercoaster.  Why you ask?  Some of the buildings and their tenants change as frequently as my nail color. Slightly dramatic, however the tenants on my street have been relatively flux over the past few years. This new yummy spot gives me some hope that trend might be on its way out. With that being said, even though I despise roller coasters I’ve decided to hang on tight because I adore this piece of the world I now call home, and I hate moving.

The neighborhood is full of energy and carries a mix of trendiness and old charm.  I love how the coffee shops and bakery open early wafting the scent of fresh ground coffee beans and sugar filled pastries right to my window. Next door, the trader joe's parking lot exercise boot camps really push me to find the motivation to get out of my ridiculously comfy bed to go for a run (or walk, likely a walk).  Not to mention the several fitness studios that smell of sweat and poor decisions from the night before.  ALSO, most of the bars close by midnight so my grandma self can get a good night’s rest. Hashtag, priorities.  Seriously it’s sad.  These are the things you think about when you get old.  Anyway, back to Toasted.

Toasted opened in the Fall of 2016 as a gourmet coffee & tea cafe with a dirty little secret, they know how to make the best toast on earth, like all of earth.  They’ve managed to put a twist on the ever so trendy avocado toast, while also including many other favorites including peanut butter and banana, and the OG classic (butter). It doesn’t stop there.  I dare you not to experiment with one of their unique combinations, I promise it will have your taste buds salivating.  Personal favorite?  ‘Toast Ma Goats’, it’s in-freaking-credible.  Also, they serve tribal juice on tap, so that’s not cool or anything (insert hands to god emoji here).

Another insane addition to this delicious gem is that it doubles as a sleek bar with some well made beverages.  I know this is ridiculously trendy right now, but it’s genius so I’m okay with being basic for a good cause (or any cause that involves pink & glitter).  Being that the luxury of remote working is such a commonality among companies these days finding a place that can double as a get s*** done spot/convenient happy hour location is a win in my book.

Chai Tea. Tribal Juice. Goat cheese on Texas Toast. Toasted, you’re doing the damn thing.  Until next time, BYEEEEEEE.

Coffee is not my cup of tea
